UTARC traditionally operates both weekends of the
Collegiate
Championship. We have won the West Gulf Division in the ARRL
November Sweepstakes Multioperator category,
and even finished in the Top Ten! Club members have also used the
club station to operate in a variety of other
HF contests, including the Texas QSO Party, the IARU HF World
Championship, the ARRL International DX Contest, and the CQ World Wide
DX Contest.
For HF contest logging, UTARC uses
TR LOG contest logging software by N6TR. Our contest radio
is interfaced with the computer for frequency control and CW keying.
We have headset microphones and foot-switches for multiple operators.
