Shack Rules

By utilizing club equipment, all persons agree to abide by the following N5XU shack rules. These rules are prominently posted inside the club station:

  1. No smoking is allowed in the club station at any time.

  2. The club is not responsible for any personal items or equipment left at the radio shack for any period of time.

  3. If you are unsure about the operation of any piece of equipment, don't use it. Ask for help from a member who knows. This especially applies to the HF and VHF linear amplifiers!

  4. Do not make any modifications to any club equipment without first getting approval from club officers.

  5. Make sure both doors are locked when leaving the station unattended. Reset the combination lock to 0000.

  6. Never divulge the lock combination to anyone. Only club officers are allowed to give out the combination.

  7. Never operate the radio equipment outside of your personal transmitting privileges and never operate without at least a copy of your license. Be courteous on the air.

  8. Always clean up the shack whenever you see or make a mess.

  9. Always sign up on the visitor log hanging on the equipment rack.

  10. Only put contacts made with the N5XU callsign in the club logbook.
