I only had one operator for Kid's Day - the other one was too sick to make it in. We talked with a bunch of kids, including a nine year old who has her own license, and a guy in Zimbabwe who was not actually doing Kids' Day, but we worked him anyway (I'm not sure about third-party rules, but Amber asked him what his favorite animal is and he said ``dogs''....)
We (I) worked KB0VVT/KH6 who was on from the Battleship Missouri in Pearl Harbor. She's the eight year old Extra with curly red hair whose QSL card is on the door inside the shack. She's now fourteen, but was only on CW and wasn't really doing Kids' Day. But at least Amber was around while we worked three different continents.
Kids' Day is whey khule. It actually gives you a reason to do SSB on 10-15-20 meters! We made most of our QSOs on 15 meters, via CQs.
