Members on the Move

Congratulations are in order for new UTARC member Monique Stinson N3TNN. Monique took license examination element 1A (the 5WPM code test) at the W5YI VEC examination session on 6 March, and passed with flying colors! This upgrades her license class from Technician to Tech Plus. Like so many before her, Monique made her first HF contact using her new priveleges at the club station, N5XU. The QSO was on the evening of 9 March with N0WMW, in Iowa, on 40 meters CW.

UTARC News has recently learned that club member Paulus Adisoemarta N5SNN successfully defended his PhD dissertation last December, and has been working full-time since then at Texas Tech University as a lecturer in Petrochemical Engineering.
