The phone portion of the CQ World Wide WPX Contest is the weekend of March 25-26. Many stations with unusual callsign prefixes show up on the air for this contest. Ever worked a 9E, SY, YM, or CG prefix? This is the contest to do so!
April 1 is a swapmeet in Brenham, Texas, about half-way between Austin and Houston on SH-290. Details about it can be found on the N5XU shack bulletin board.
The weekend of April 15-16 is the CW portion of the DXYL-NAYL Contest. This contest encourages women in the United States and Canada to contact other women in the rest of the world on the HF bands. The phone portion of the contest is April 22-23.
