Citizen Derek Wills AA5BT

Long-time UTARC club member Derek Wills AA5BT recently became a citizen of the United States of America. Derek is originally from England, where he held his first Amateur Radio license as a teenager. He has been living and working in the United States for some twenty years. Derek is also licensed as G3NMX, and can continue to retain that callsign.

Ken Harker WM5R at N5TW

UTARC member Ken Harker WM5R recently participated in a near-record-setting contest effort. Ken was a member of the multi-operator, two-transmitter team at N5TW participating in the ARRL International DX Contest, Phone. Tom Whiteside N5TW is a Texas-Ex who now lives in Georgetown. He has built an impressive two-radio, four-tower contest station at his home. Ken took a few photos of the contest when he wasn't operating (and a few while he was!)
