The World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC) 2000
is this summer. How much do you know about it?
- The first WRTC was held in 1990. It was held in Washington, D.C.,
Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, or Montreal?
- WRTC 2000 is being held in Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, the Czech
Republic, or the Slovak Republic?
- How many UTARC alumni were competitors in WRTC 1996: 0, 1, 2, 3, or 5?
- Each team in WRTC 2000 is composed of two operators. How many of the
14 wild card teams in WRTC 2000 will have teammates from different
countries: 0, 2, 3, 7, or 14?
- Of the 52 teams at WRTC 2000, how many teams will represent the
United States of America: 10, 13, 15, 16, or 26?
- Which of the following countries has more than one national team at
WRTC 2000: Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, South Africa, or the United
Kingdom?
- The winners of WRTC 2000 will be determined on a points system. This
points system includes the on-air performance during the IARU HF World
Championship contest, and a pile-up simulator competition. What percentage
of the total score will come from performance in the pile-up simulator
competition: 5, 10, 15, 30, 40, or 75?
- Which of the following are WRTC 2000 contestants NOT allowed
to use: headphones, CW memory keyers, radio-computer interfaces, contest
logging software, or band pass filters?
- Which of the following callsigns will be used by some WRTC 2000
contestant: S50A, S5A, S519I, S5HHH, or S5WRTC?
- Operators around the world who make enough contacts with the WRTC 2000
contestants will be rewarded with a certificate, a deck of playing cards, a
commemorative letter opener, a coffee mug, or a T-shirt?
