UTARC 1987 Field Day

UTARC has not had too many successful Field Day's since most students end up going home for the summer. Here are some photos of the only known "real" Field Day effort to take place on the UT campus itself.

The main ops for the Field Day (l-r) Curt Black (N5HPD, now WR5J), Derek Wills (AA5BT) and Kevin Mandaville (KA5ZVB, now KG5KI).
The operating table under the shade with Curt's VW van as the antenna support structure and power source.
The club operated from the East Mall of campus, within view of the UT tower. The operating table is in the shade on the left.
Kevin manages a smile despite being in the Texas heat in the middle of July!
Derek and Kevin busy at work.
I have not been able to identify these operators. Can you help?
Some students walking by, probably wondering what's going on.
Kevin fills out the dupe sheet, in the days before computer logging became the norm.
