Some of photos from the club's 1990 publicity effort on the West Mall of campus.
The building in the background is the Undergraduate Library (UGL.)
The radio on the table is the club's Kenwood TS-830S HF transceiver. To the left of the transceiver is a Kenwood ATS-230 antenna tuner.
You can see a random wire stretched off into the bushes. It is attached to the antenna tuner.
The computer on the table is an original Apple Macintosh. The Macintosh, radio, and TNC all belonged to George WB5VZL.
Demonstrating the operation of the HF radio....
Tuning in rare DX, no doubt.
WR5J shows how to operate Field Day 1990 on a hot Texas day. Note: The radio is NOT plugged in!
AA5NC and WN4KKN catch some sleep while others continue working Field Day 1990.
N5RAJ and AA5NC operate the club station during the 1990 Phone Sweepstakes.
