UTARC 2001 Kenwood TS-600 Memorial

For the past thirteen years, the University of Texas Amateur Radio Club (UTARC) station N5XU has been one of only a handful of college and university club stations in North America with a radio and antenna for the six meter band. In February, 2001, the club purchased a new transceiver for 50 MHz operation, and sold off the only six meter transceiver the club had ever known - a Kenwood TS-600. These photos were taken just before the radio was boxed up and shipped out.
